As a Trust Accountant at Investa, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance team with monthly balance sheet reconciliations, monthly reporting, and trust account management.
This includes processing trust transactions, maintaining trust accounts, and preparing BAS and IAS.
You'll also contribute to the preparation of the yearly management and annual consolidated statutory accounts, while taking on ad-hoc duties to support the team's operations.
Your attention to detail and accounting expertise will drive precision and compliance, ensuring the success of our financial processes.
What you'll do:Reconciliation Excellence: Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Unit Pricing: Calculate the monthly unit price for Investa Property Group (IPG).Tax Compliance: Assist with BAS, IAS, and tax deliverables to ensure compliance with GST and income tax laws.Statutory Reporting: Contribute to annual statutory reports and consolidated statutory accounts preparation.Distributions & Registers: Assist with quarterly distributions, fixed asset registers, and cost base registers.Audits & Collaboration: Support external audits, answer queries, and work closely with key stakeholders like the CFO, Fund Managers, and Tax Team.What you'll bring:Qualifications: Degree in Commerce or Business majoring in Accounting (highly desirable).CA or CPA qualified or actively pursuing these certifications.Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role, with expertise in balance sheet reconciliations, BAS/IAS preparation, and statutory reporting.Skills: Proficiency in Excel and strong written and verbal communication.Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve.Why join Investa?We're an organisation known for our culture – we're unique, friendly and transparent.
