The opportunity:
Due to internal career progression, we have an opening for a Risk Analyst to join Bupa's Risk & Compliance division.
This role will be accountable for the operational activities supporting effective implementation of the Risk Management Framework for the Health Insurance business unit.
As Risk Analyst, you will undertake field work and data analysis to assist with providing meaningful information to the business, risk committees and Board.
A key requirement is your ability to build a strong and trusting rapport with business contacts, facilitating two-way interaction in relation to risk, controls, incidents, issues, and compliance matters.
This is a permanent, full-time position and may be based from Bupa's Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney offices with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.
How will I help?
Provide education in relation to the Risk Management Framework.
Assist with execution of risk management activities that includes risk workshops, compliance obligations, Risk & Control Self-Assessment, incident management, issue management, risk register reviews.
Be accountable for control verification, data analysis, KRI assessments and interpretation.

What do I need?
We anticipate you'll bring 1-4 years professional hands-on risk experience.
It is preferred that your experience has been obtained in a regulated environment, ideally insurance or financial services.
You'll thrive when collaborating with your team, creating positive relationships as a trusted and respected Risk Analyst.
In addition, you'll bring to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting or Risk Management.
Advanced analytical skills to convert risk and incident data into meaningful management information and reporting.
Previous experience in contributing to risk workshops and being an advocate for a robust and transparent risk culture.
