Position OverviewThis brand new position will take lead for the manufacturing scale-up of novel radiopharmaceutical products. As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for utilising your engineering skills and commercial knowledge to produce detailed manufacturing drawings and develop processes.
Who will you be working with?Our Client is a clinical stage radiopharmaceutical company developing treatments to significantly improve survival and quality of life for patients with cancer. At their new flagship site in Brisbane, they are growing their teams in alignment with the exciting progression of their novel technologies. You'll be joining a team who are highly driven and united by their vision to change the lives of cancer patients.

As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will optimise build times, achieve scale-up requirements and work with suppliers to develop bespoke parts for the novel generator device. Key tasks of this role include:
Design for manufacturability and prototypingDetailed documentation and CAD modellingPerform testing of design outputs according to the verification and validation planAssembly and System TestingConduct DFM on sheet metal and plastic parts to evolve prototypes into manufacturable pilot designsCost and time optimisationWhat do you need?Our ideal candidate will have a passion for medical or life science engineering with the ability to drive concepts that lead to development and commercialisation of life saving radiopharmaceutical products. We are seeking someone who has experience applying engineering principles to address complex scientific phenomena. Other key requirements of this role include:
Masters or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design, Optimisation Engineering or similar5 years or more in an engineering role with a focus on manufacturing of electromechanical systems or similar, ideally in the medical device industrySound understanding of manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication, injection moulding, 3D printing, etc.Experience in maintaining design and developmental records in compliance with quality systemsStrong communication skills to translate needs from research into manufacturingEagerness to be an effective team member of a diverse, inclusive, multi-cultural team environment.If you think this could be the role for you then please apply now Or, if you have any questions, please contact Samuel O'Brien.
