Job Summary :
The Learning and Development Manager will be responsible for the creation, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive training programs that enhance the effectiveness of our workforce.
They will work closely with department leaders to identify training needs and develop strategies to address those needs, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities :
Design and implement a variety of training programs and initiatives to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
Collaborate with management to assess ongoing and future training and development needs.
Create engaging and effective training materials.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in corporate training and development.
Facilitate professional development and training sessions as needed.
Implement and maintain a learning management system (LMS).
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to determine skills or knowledge gaps that need addressing.
Design and develop training curricula, instructor-led courses, e-learning modules, and other educational materials.
Oversee and, when necessary, deliver training sessions, workshops, and other educational activities.
Create and implement innovative learning strategies to facilitate employee development and retention.
Develop and implement evaluation systems to measure the effectiveness of training programs and instructors.
Establish mentoring and coaching systems to support employee development.
Work with HR to integrate learning and development programs with career pathing initiatives.
Design and execute leadership development programs to cultivate a strong pipeline of future company leaders.
Identify and manage relationships with external training providers and vendors.
Ensure all employees receive the required compliance training and updates.
Promote a learning culture within the organisation through various initiatives and programs.
Implement feedback mechanisms to gather insights from employees post-training.
Continuously improve training programs based on feedback, new techniques, and industry best practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience in a training and development role, with some of that being in a leadership position.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to lead a team and manage projects effectively.
Proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
Organisational Development OR Learning and Development qualification (minimum of diploma or equivalent) at Level 5 or above.
Level 5 coaching (desirable).
Understanding of and commitment to Inclusion & Equality in the workplace.
Awareness of protocols required for dealing with protected characteristics covered by Equality Legislation.
