Learning & Design Specialist - Ramp Inspire and shape our people to operate efficiently and safely, every time Unleash your creative mind to design engaging and compliant training content Permanent full-time position, Brisbane based The Role: As a Learning & Design Specialist, you will design initial, specialised skills and recurrent training course material for Ramp team members across the Virgin Australia Operations Group.
Further to Design, this role will support the Academy Trainers to deliver content to our Ramp teams as a secondary portfolio.
You will be based at a Virgin Australia head office and you will work closely with the Academy Design, Academy Trainers and Ramp Standards teams amongst others.
Responsibilities: Implement integrated learning and development packages for our Ramp teams that accurately reflect the needs of the business Design courseware including the definition of training objectives, delivery method (e.g.
facilitation and computer-based), activities, content, media selection, and assessment instruments Review course feedback forms, safety investigations, safety data trends, and audit findings to make improvements or updates to courseware Network and maintain relationships with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the frontline Support with delivering classroom and practical training for the Ramp team – Induction, Recurrent and Up-skilling training Maintain operational knowledge of the Ramp role, airline regulations, and skills What you need to be successful: Bachelor Degree, Diploma, Cert IV qualification in teaching, adult learning, training & assessment or equivalent Ideally, demonstrated experience in course material design in Airline Ground Operations or an operational role Ramp team member experience Previous experience in training – classroom, practical, on the job Strong understanding of appropriate CASA regulations Exceptional interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to engage and deliver content, and engage stakeholders Ability to collaborate and build long-term stakeholder relationships What you'll get from us: Great fares – domestic and international travel benefits for you, your family, and your friends.
