Agribusiness and Agritourism role
Supporting the local community 3-month Contract + Extension | WFH available 2 days a week Pay rate of $62.00 per hour + super Beaudesert / Gold Coast location    Public Sector People  are partnering with a Local Council in the Gold Coast and Beaudesert Area
in We are seeking an experienced  Economic Development Officer  for the  Agribusiness and Agritourism Industry
This role is a 3-month temp contract position with possible + extension.
This is a diverse role where no one day is the same
You will play a pivotal role for our client by leading the delivery of projects that promote the agribusiness and agritourism sector.
The position supports the delivery of programs that identify current and emerging jobs in targeted industry sectors and facilitate training, development and accreditation pathways.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Deliver agribusiness and agritourism projects from the Regional Prosperity Strategy 2020-2025, focusing on Education and Workforce Development within the department's budget and potential grant funding.
Assist the Principal Specialist Regional Prosperity in preparing project progress reports.
Implement actions from the Agribusiness and Agritourism Industry Development Roadmap 2024-2032 to strategically drive the region's economic growth.
Act as the main liaison for the agribusiness and agritourism sector, communicating relevant subjects and incorporating sector feedback.
Serve as the primary contact within the department for education and workforce development programs.
Collaborate with the agribusiness and agritourism sector to identify and prioritize economic development opportunities.
Identify learning needs and organize training workshops, information sessions, events, and meetings.
Develop and deliver events such as the World of Work Expo, connecting job seekers and employers.
Drive skills development by identifying employers' needs and linking them with government funding and programs, while also assisting with funding and grant submissions and engaging with external stakeholders.
About you: A keen Interest in the Agritourism, agribusiness sector Strong Stakeholder engagement skills Problem-solving skills and using your initiative are a must-have
Tertiary education within the agriculture, and agribusiness space.
Proven project experience within the last 2 years    Benefits: 3-month Client contract + extension WFH Flexibility up to 2 days per week is available.
