Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment) Full time CGC are currently seeking two experienced and dedicated Senior Safety Managers to join our clients' teams; one role is North of the River, the second being South.
The Senior Safety Managers will be responsible for ensuring that Health and Safety Management System elements under the control of the Health and Safety Department are effective and capable of delivering on their purpose.
About the roleProvides coaching and mentoring to the onsite team as well as management alike.Utilizes internal and external resources in the execution of the ANZ safety strategy.Manages Worker's Compensation in consultation with external service providers and ANZ regional team.Plans and budgets specific programs and activities to prevent employee injury and illness and increase employee well-being.Serves as Lead Investigator for significant incidents that may occur at the plant and serves as Investigation Team Member for other plant's investigations. About youMinimum 3 years' experience as a Health and Safety Manager, minimum 7 years total as an OHS practitioner.Conversant in Lean Manufacturing Principles with a focus on the Plan-Do-Check-Act process.Demonstrated proficiency in managing a variety of unrelated projects with a results-oriented approach, logical thinking, and superior problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to lead, influence, and coach individuals at all levels of the organization.Facilitating detailed and comprehensive risk assessment activities, beyond individual, task-based assessments.
