From our humble beginnings, founded in a small town in Alberta, Canada, Champion – with its ORIJEN and ACANA brands – is a key player in the global premium pet food industry.
In this pivotal new role , the APAC Supply Chain Director will work closely with the Business Development Director to provide leadership in developing strong E2 E agile and efficient supply chain capabilities that support the Champion Petfood's brands, across key APAC markets.
Your role will involve building a customer-centric supply chain in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, while working to execute the business strategy and achieve financial goals.
Ideally, you'll bring an entrepreneurial mindset, blending strategic thinking and innovation, and be comfortable balancing customer satisfaction with supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities In conjunction with the Global SC Leadership Team (GSCLT), develop and implement a long-term SC roadmap in APAC.
Define and implement the best cost to serve route to market within the region – balancing between 3 PL and distributors where financially viable.
Benchmark internally and externally, and integrate best practices learned where applicable.
Share best practices with other regional SC teams as they begin to establish their operating frameworks.
Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team (GSCLT) on sourcing options for APAC to optimize cost to serve by leveraging the SND processes and make vs.
buy analysis for 3 PM.
Ensure an effective Supply Chain Management Review (SCMR) step through the S&OP+ process that helps deliver business KPIs.
Efficiently staff the SC function with top talent when required, develop a skills matrix to identify capability gaps and enhance personal development, and build a pipeline of future Supply Chain leaders for Mission Critical Roles (MCR) in the function.
Be an active contributor to the APAC Leadership Team and the GSCLT on operational decisions and strategic planning.
What we are looking for: An ambitious, enthusiastic person with proven supply chain experience working with FMCG in the pet food industry.
Proven experience in different routes to markets and channels including distributor managed markets & International experience in several markets.
Leadership experience, a positive can-do attitude, flexibility, ability to deliver through complexity and change, and a good team player.
Ability to work independently and self-starter attitude is required to succeed in this role, as well as the willingness to travel.
