As a result, we're seeking to recruit a motivated Lead Civil Engineer to join our team in our newly refurbished Perth office on St Georges Terrace.
About the role You will deliver civil engineering design (process plant platforms, access roads, drainage, and associated infrastructure in remote and challenging terrain) according to required timeframes and standards.Issue drawings and other relevant information for construction by working with engineers and designers.Supervise the performance of civil engineers, reviewing deliverables, and providing high-level technical expertise as applicable.Active collaboration and communication with project team and other disciplines in providing input in site selection and layout optimisation of mining projects.Contribute to the cost-efficient delivery of civil engineering by managing the project budget and reviewing and approving civil capital cost estimates, recommending alternative approaches where possible.Evaluate tenders from a technical standpoint by applying multi-disciplinary knowledge and experience.Motivate engineers and other project team members towards superior performance by supporting daily performance and providing ongoing mentoring and training.About you Degree qualifications in Civil EngineeringDemonstrated success as a Lead civil design engineer, ideally in an EPCM environmentExtensive experience in Earthworks, Roadworks, and Drainage design engineering in a relevant industry, e.g., mining, mineral processing, materials handling, and heavy industrial.Ability to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner utilising personal knowledge, external consultants, and in-house experience.Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering.An in-depth knowledge and demonstrated experience in the design of mining facilities, with a proven ability to conceptualise project layouts, and optimise designs is a must.
