Rapidly growing 120+ person Australian owned, multiple rolesState-of-the-art Electronic Warfare software solutionsAttractive salary package, flexible working hoursAbout the RoleAs a Consunet Applied Scientist you will perform a vital role using your understanding of wireless communications to support the design and implementation of our next-generation disruptive radio access management system.
The role will consist of researching innovative ideas and algorithms, supporting the development, and demonstration of near real-time autonomous electromagnetic spectrum management solutions.
You will be working within an agile environment with a team of professionals including scientists, mathematicians and software developers to support the research goals of our Cyber and Electronic Warfare technology company.
The applied research part of the project is in the applications of advanced computational techniques (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) as well as Distributed Systems to develop novel protocols or adapt existing academic research in Complex Systems towards wireless transmission scheduling and path planning.To be considered for this role, you must be an Australian citizen.Essential Knowledge and Skills:Experience in algorithm development and modelling using Python or Java or similar languages with good exposure to principles of object-oriented programming.Understanding of wireless systems design and optimisation for diverse applications.Experience in Artificial Intelligence – Planning and Scheduling techniques.Experience in mathematics, especially optimisation, and complex algorithm development and the ability to apply resulting concepts to solving problems in radio access networks.Provide vital systems engineering support to our in-house software development team in the form of implementation guidance.You are an adaptable individual who can communicate fluently, both orally and in writing, and are comfortable with presenting complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences such as internal and external stakeholders.Post graduate qualifications within Computer Science/EEE are preferred, however established equivalent expertise will be considered.Desirable Knowledge and Skills:Background Communications systems theory and wireless systems.Understanding of distributed and complex systems.Government/Defence Industry experience.Recommending and designing technical solutions.Writing and maintaining technical documentation.Good understanding of current cellular or wi-fi communications standards.Experience working in teams applying Agile software engineering best practices.Background in Artificial Intelligence, in particular intelligent agent-based modelling.To be considered, candidates will have:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A workplace that believes in innovation, quality, and a work-life balance.Flexible, inclusive and friendly work environment.Competitive remuneration.Salary packaging options.Study Loan Scheme.Career and skills progression through training and development to team members.Access to cutting-edge technology, research, and agile project management practices.Mentoring and support from our experienced team members.Please send your covering letter summarising your experience and current resume to ******, noting in the subject line: Consunet – Applied Scientist.About ConsunetConsunet is headquartered in the Adelaide CBD with operations in Adelaide, Edinburgh (SA) and Canberra.
