Purpose of Job and General Duties
As a lead design engineer, you will oversee the architecture of our products for use in rugged automotive and recreational applications.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee product architecture in a specific category, driving capability growth and fostering platform reuse.
Serve as Change Request signatory for Engineering, ensuring project requirements are met.
Coordinate with teams to achieve project deliverables, negotiate technical requirements, and verify designs.
Facilitate electronic and firmware engineering design challenges, optimizing solutions for collaboration.
Mentor staff, contribute to performance evaluations, and participate in improvement teams.
Adhere to project standards, participate in process improvement, and ensure WHS compliance.
Support product and tool lifecycle, including maintenance and development tasks.
Required:

Associate Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering is desirable or a background in Hardware.
Extensive experience in electronics product design, support, and maintenance across all lifecycle stages, accompanied by a diverse electronics skill set.
Proficiency in high-power DC-DC and/or AC-DC conversion and demonstrate initiative, drive, and enthusiasm in overcoming challenges.

Desirable:

Engineering experience in a product development environment.
Expertise in electronic product fault-finding and familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes and quality procedures.
