What is the focus of the role?

The System Maintenance Consultant shall have extensive industry experience in submarine cable operations and maintenance, with a minimum of 5 years in the submarine cable industry.

The role shall be considered a subject matter expert in various aspects of O&M, including leading and making sound decisions in complex situations, providing recommendations on effective cable protection solutions, and pursuing cable damage claims.

What you'll do:
Determine fault locations in Cable Systems and validate System Supplier guidance.
Review proposed new-built cable crossings using GIS tools.
Plan and control marine repairs, liaising with agents and authorities.
Ensure subsea network assets are deployed effectively and comply with requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and develop subsea practice standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who has experience/skills in:
Technical Certification and/or Engineering qualifications.
Established experience with marine operations and maintenance.
Coordinator of cable repair ships and NOC during repairs.
Assessing MOP's prepared by ship operators.
Understanding of Digital Coherent Optical Technology, COTDR, TDR, and DWDM.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding communication skills.
