THE SCHOOL Lorien Novalis Steiner School is situated in the Hills District of Sydney, about 45 minutes to the northwest of the city, nestled in over 6 hectares of lush bushlands and landscaped gardens.
The school has been offering a rich and creative Steiner curriculum for over 50 years and has built a strong reputation for the diverse and engaging education that it provides.
THE POSITION To provide caring, creative, and engaging educational programs in TAS/Design & Technology education for Secondary students working with the pedagogical and artistic indications of Rudolf Steiner and the Lorien Novalis' ethos.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Steiner teacher to instruct a variety of practical TAS subjects, including Stage 6 Design and Technology.
This role involves preparing materials for different TAS subjects across various classes within the school.
Experience in delivering these courses is highly valued.
At Lorien Novalis School, we offer a wide array of hands-on initiatives that engage all students in practical projects, fostering a positive learning environment that accommodates individual needs and abilities.
Our design activities include Woodwork, Metalwork, Jewellery Making, Textiles, Carving, and Set Design construction, and we welcome expertise in other areas the successful candidate may bring.
EMPLOYMENT BASIS This role could be suitable for a student teacher who is finishing an education degree or an existing experienced Teacher.
It could be part time from 0.2 upwards to fulltime.
The school will provide mentoring and training opportunities for those who are new to Steiner Education.
