Technical Writing (Information & Communication Technology)Full timeTell me about this role:Jacobs are on the hunt for an NV1 minimum cleared Technical Writer to support a Defence cyber project. This varied role is will be working with the project team responsible for designing a system that will become the future of Australian cyber security.This role offers uncapped training and development opportunities as well as other benefits including free parking, flexible working and different leave arrangements including paid parental, study, reserve and volunteer leave.What will I be doing day to day?Plan, develop, organise, write and edit standard operating procedures and manualsResearch, develop and write technical design specifications & technical manualsDeveloping written or visual product/process/technical documentation, business process maps, and user manualsMaintain quality assurance of documents continuity and style of contentWrite complex technical subject matter for a range of stakeholders, including non-technical or executive staffDevelop and update engineering documentation, including a range of technical management strategies and plans, logistic plans and instructionsLiaise with management, staff, customers, contractors and other organisationsWhat sort of skills do I need?Tertiary qualification, certification, vendor course or relevant industry experience Demonstrated experience in strong technical writing skillsAbility to be fully responsible for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectivesAbility to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiencesDefence industry experienceHigh level attention to detailAustralian citizenship and NV1 security clearance as a minimumWhat's in it for me?Flexibility: We like our employees to have the flexibility they need to live the lives they choose.
