ACM Recruitment is seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist - Pod Leader to join their team in Blacktown, Penrith and Newcastle NSW.
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight for a multidisciplinary team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based allied health services.
The senior therapist is required to ensure that it provides exemplary therapeutic services to people with disability following the NDIS practice standards and guidelines, upholding evidence-based practices, developing participants skills and achieving participants NDIS goals.
Key responsibilitiesTo be a competent independent practitioner, operating autonomously and working under minimal direct professional supervision.To exercise independent professional knowledge and judgement whilst providing novel, complex or critical clinical services to NDIS participants of various ages (2 - 65 years) and various disabilities (i.e., Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disability, rare genetic disorders, developmental delay, and neurological conditions i.e., brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis) with opportunity to specialise in case-loads of your choice.To assist in clinical in-service education programs to students as required.To actively contribute to the development of therapeutic services as demonstrated by positive impacts on service delivery, positive referral patterns and quantifiable/measurable improvements in outcomes.Responsible for providing efficient, cost effective and timely delivery of services at participants homes, schools or in clinic as best suited to the participants needs.What we're looking forGenuine desire to provide the best quality support for people with disabilities.Reliable character.Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionals.Ability to work in a very busy environment and to work both independently and as a part of a team.Understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues.Valid Driver's License.A cleared Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Clearance or a valid NDISWC.Registration to your accredited governing body i.e., APHRA/ARTA/SPA.Completion of university degree.What we offerAt ACM Recruitment, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and well-being of our employees.
