Our solutions keep people moving and make travel easier, safer, and more efficient.The RoleAs an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring fair and consistent handling of employee relations matters within the Sydney region. Reporting to the HR Director, you will manage cases involving disciplinary actions, grievances, leave of absence, performance improvement, and more. You'll also maintain accurate employee relations records and support data analysis to guide business decisions.Key Responsibilities:Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations matters and HR policies.Manage cases independently or in collaboration with the HRBP, legal, health & safety, or compliance teams, covering issues such as performance, grievance, and absence management.Conduct investigations and prepare documentation in line with local employment laws.Maintain and ensure compliance of employee records in the HRIS system.Analyze data trends, prepare reports, and present insights to the business.Foster a positive employee relations culture by promoting fair application of policies and procedures.Support employee engagement activities and participate in new hire orientations.Conduct exit interviews, support regional change initiatives, and assist with audits.Participate in wellbeing initiatives and the wellbeing committee.Requirements:A four-year degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, plus 2+ years of experience in employee relations or as an HR Generalist.HR certification (PHR, SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) preferred.Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.Experience managing investigations and handling confidential information.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); prior experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred).Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under shifting deadlines.Some domestic travel may be required.Why Cubic?At Cubic, you'll be part of a company that values innovation, teamwork, and a commitment to enhancing the customer experience.
