You will play a pivotal role within the IT function, contributing to the development of solutions that drive digital transformation, enhance security, and optimise operations across the Group. With the company's growth, there are clear opportunities for career progression, enabling you to advance alongside the business.In your capacity as the lead for the IT function, you will be involved in strategic planning, emergency response activities, and may assume higher duties when necessary. This role will require frequent cross-functional collaboration within the organisation. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available for discussion.The Group businesses include IAG, XKG and Capital XR.Duties & Responsibilities:Operational management and governance of outsourced Service Desk function.Delivery of high-quality IT solutions and implementation for employees across the group.Management of Windows based environments, Microsoft 365 cloud services and integrations with 3rd party vendors.Provide project management of assigned projects with effective planning and reporting.Ensure appropriate management of all IT assets (including Infrastructure Lifecycle management and Software license management).Configure and deploy software solutions and provide operational support guidance to outsourced IT service desk staff.Actively participate in problem management, conducting root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions across all supported platforms.Serve as a subject-matter expert in IT projects involving Microsoft cloud services, integration, cyber security and network infrastructure.Participate in planning activities such as capacity, lifecycle and cyber response planning.Provide emergency response assistance and technical leadership as required during cyber events or critical outages.Optimise system performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability across supported platforms with a focus on automation.Implementation of IT systems changes, including adherence to internal change control policies and procedures.Develop and maintain appropriate system documentation.Liaison with service providers and vendors.Deploy and Maintain data backup and restore systems.Participate in the Continual Service Improvement of IT Services.Ability to prioritise and attend to several tasks concurrently, including switching between business units, their environments, policies and procedures.Engage in technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders, translating complex concepts into understandable terms.Occasional travel to other offices will be required (scheduled and ad hoc).Other duties as reasonably required by manager and in keeping with the position.Experience & Qualifications:Higher education qualifications at Degree or Diploma level.Experience working in a similar IT role delivering onsite and remote projects and support.Experience working with Microsoft client operating systems and cloud services.Experience working with Microsoft 365 technologies (AAD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Autopilot, Teams Calling).Experience working with cyber security concepts such as MFA, DLP, M365 Defender and Essential 8.Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Power Automate, JSON).Experienced using remote access software.Experience with managed network infrastructure platforms.Microsoft certification in the areas of Office 365 and Azure are highly desirable.Excellent initiative, analytical and problem-solving abilities.Experience undertaking root cause analysis and identifying recurring and complex problems.Experience in writing technical documents and systems documentation.Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
