The Position We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Laboratory Technician to join our team on a casual basis.
The role involves preparing and analysing water and soil samples, interpreting results, and ensuring data accuracy through LIMS.
Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining metals analysis equipment (ICP-MS, ICP-OES), meeting strict turnaround times, and adhering to quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively, and thrives both independently and in a collaborative environment.
The day to day Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Sample PreparationAnalysis of Water and SoilsInterpretation and Result entry into LIMSEnsuring that the quality of work is maintained in accordance with QWIsMeeting turn-around requirementsPreparation and running metals samples (ICP-MS, ICP-OES)Adhering to all safety requirements The Essentials The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:

Eligibility To be eligible to work at ALS you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or either hold or be able to obtain, a valid working visa.
