From planting the first crop of bananas over 76 years ago, the farming business has expanded to produce bananas, papaya, sugarcane, cattle, and avocados.
The business is now directed by the family's 3rd generation and the company employs more than 550 employees across 9 locations stretching from Cooktown to Melbourne.
In more recent years, this vertically integrated business has expanded into sales, ripening, and processing of produce.
Location This position will be based at our Feluga Workshop.
You may be required to work at alternative locations when required. About the Role As a Boilermaker at Mackays, you will play a key role in the maintenance, installation, fabrication, repair, and redesign of our farm equipment.

Position Requirements Ability to read and interpret plans/drawingsManufacturing/creating products based on drawings within set timeframesWorking with a range of materials including steel and aluminiumPerform welding duties using TIG (Stainless) and MIG welderSkills and Qualifications required Certificate III in Engineering/Fabrication or relevantDemonstrated welding experienceThorough understanding of drawing interpretationAttention to detail and organisational skillsMechanical aptitudeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCurrent Driver's LicencePlease submit your resume and cover letter via the Quick Apply button to submit your application.
