Be part of something bigger at Suncorp.Provide technical coaching and mentoring to team members in injury management and strategy12-month max-term contract opportunitySydney locationAbout the roleThe Injury Management Advisor role offers the opportunity for an allied health professional to use their existing clinical skills and knowledge, applied to a compensable injury recovery setting. The role requires critical analysis of clinical information to advocate for best practice treatment and timely recovery to allow the injured person to move forward with their life as soon as possible.What you'll doWork alongside the claims team leader and technical advisor to create a high performing team delivering positive outcomes to injured people and driving shareholder valueReview claim files and provide subject matter expertise to claims advisors including interpreting medical reports, providing injury management advice and determining rehabilitation requirementsPrepare professional written and verbal advice to claims advisors on reasonable and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation services, and recommendations for future rehabilitation managementProvide consistent injury management expertise to ensure ongoing quality decisions and provide input into claims strategyShare knowledge, coach and mentor claims advisors to develop injury management capabilitiesBuild external relationships with best-in-class treatment and service providers to assist injured people meet their recovery goalsWhat you'll bringDegree in Allied Health related discipline is mandatoryMinimum 2+ years clinical experience and/or occupational rehabilitation experience is desirableExperience in the workers compensation scheme highly desirableAbility to use technology platforms to manage caseload effectivelyProficiency to manage difficult conversations with injured people, external health professionals and legal professionalsWhat we can offer youFlexible work arrangements and leave optionsIndustry leading 20 weeks paid parental leave and 4 weeks secondary carers leaveGenerous discounts on insurance productsExclusive offers on more than 400 of Australia's largest retailers including Myer, David Jones, Coles and WoolworthsInvest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs.About Suncorp GroupSuncorp Group is all about making a difference for people and in the communities, they call home.
