Overview: We are seeking an experienced  Azure SME   to support an enterprise client in the initial phase of their cloud migration journey.
The client is transitioning from  Azure Disc  to  Cloud Blocks  and needs a consultant to conduct discovery, analysis, and provide recommendations for the best migration strategy.
This will be the first phase of a multi-phase migration project.
Responsibilities: Discovery & Assessment: Collaborate with the Pure Storage SME to conduct initial discovery sessions with the client.
Collect and analyze data, gather technical and business requirements, and identify the key challenges and risks for the migration.
Reporting & Analysis: Provide a detailed report outlining the findings from the discovery phase, including the current Azure infrastructure, storage utilization, and migration considerations.
Migration Strategy Recommendations: Based on the discovery insights, recommend the most efficient and risk-mitigated approach to migrate approximately  400 guests (VMs)  and  400TB of data  from Azure Disc to Pure Storage Cloud Blocks.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with client stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed and aligned with the migration plan.
Provide technical expertise on Azure infrastructure and its compatibility with the Pure Storage Cloud Blocks solution.
Phase 1 Documentation: Create and deliver a comprehensive report post-discovery, including technical and business insights, migration roadmap, risk mitigation strategies, and timeline estimates for the next phases of the project.
Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience as an  Azure Consultant  or similar role, with a focus on cloud migration projects.
Hands-on experience with  Azure Disc  and  Azure-based storage solutions .
Knowledge of  Pure Storage Cloud Blocks  or similar storage solutions (highly preferred).
Experience with large-scale enterprise migrations, particularly in phased approaches.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of  Azure architecture ,  VM management , and  storage solutions .
Familiarity with  cloud migration best practices  and tools.
Ability to analyze complex environments and provide actionable recommendations.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Experience engaging with C-level and technical stakeholders.
Additional Information: This role is  remote  and you can be based anywhere in Australia.
There will be no requirement to visit the client's premises; all work will be conducted remotely.
The client is an  enterprise organization , but they are looking to start small, migrating  400 guests (VMs)  and  400TB of data  in the initial phase.
