We are on the hunt for a confident, safety and solution-focused Electrical Maintenance Technician to oversee, lead and maintain the automated parcel sortation system of Aramex Sydney and help Aramex on our mission to become Australia's most trusted independent courier.

Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining system reliability through daily and monthly preventative electrical checks Rapid issue resolution minimizing downtime and identifying future electrical faults.
Optimising system performance via the Falcon Dashboard and SCADA PC Design, document and report on the maintenance programme via the approved internal database Collaborate with Operations (Ground & Fleet) to ensure automation operations align with requirements.
Workplace Health, Safety & Environment (WHSE)
Ensure all WHS policies and procedures are adhered to always.
Actively promote and ensure a safe environment is maintained always.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a safe workplace.
Regularly check your employees and contractor's wellbeing "R U OK".
Maintenance & Training requirements:
Implement and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance checklist utilising guidance from Falcon Autotech and Sydney operations teams.
Document all relevant system electrical checks, downtime and other system concerns into the approved internal database to mitigate future issues.
Implement a proactive management system within the maintenance programme that targets future electrical components of the automation that may be at fault.
Operational Excellence requirements:
Implement and reinforce "best practice" systems and procedures to continually improve automation system performance resulting in higher productivity through efficiency, and reduced errors through in-depth back-end reporting analysis.
Provide detailed and relevant reports aimed to keep employees and contractors aligned to business targets and improvements.
Liaise with all team members to maintain correct language and terminology relating to business practices to avoid confusion and miscommunication.
Continually target the 1% improvements to continually improve performance.
Communication & Reporting:
Provide detailed and relevant reports to management and other business units aligned to business targets.
Provide frequent feedback to all employees and contractors regarding performance and continually reinforce business changes to improve knowledge, skill and compliance.
Communicate with managers, CF's and staff to ensure that all team members are fully aware of changes and current events.
Liaise with colleagues and management to assist with recoveries from automation system failures.
Hold necessary face to face meetings with employees and contractors to convey relevant solutions to automation system workload concerns.
Undertake analysis and daily/weekly/monthly reporting of results and activity which relates to the automation system, WHS matters, automation improvements and challenges.
Comply with all WHSE protocols inclusive of site and automation.
Minimise machine downtime outside of scheduled maintenance checks.
Ensure all daily, monthly, and quarterly maintenance checks are carried out and within the timeline set out by the manufacturer.
System targets always met including, sorting logic accuracy, rejects, and scanning compliance of the automation and ground-ops team.
Timely and accurate reporting to key operation team members regarding automation performance.
