Opportunity WEM has a rewarding opportunity for a Landscape Tradesperson to join the team.
We have a strong portfolio of work with multiple projects underway across Sydney's Northwest and Southwest, Hunter and Illawarra regions.
This role requires travel to job sites across the area.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with the set-out and installation of hardscape structures (e.g., footpaths, retaining walls, stone features)Operate small plant and equipment for various tasksPrepare seeding requirements and plant trees, shrubs, and hedgesInstall drainage pipes and fencing for subdivision projectsMaintain site cleanliness and ensure tools and equipment are properly used and storedAdhere to safety regulations and statutory requirements (e.g., Local Council, EPA)Liaise with stakeholders and complete timesheets accuratelyWork collaboratively with the team and follow site supervisor instructionsWe Are Looking For Someone Who Has: Relevant certificate or Diploma in Landscaping or Horticulture or 5 years in a similar roleDemonstrated knowledge of the construction industry and processesAbility to operate commercial equipment including mowers, diggers, bobcats and other hand machineryAbility to work autonomously and with minimal supervisionStrong interpersonal skills and positive attitude towards teamworkAbility to use a smartphone to complete daily timesheetsClear and effective communicationAbility to guide and support Landscape Labourers with day-to-day tasksStrong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practicesA proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiativeA construction white cardValid Driver's Licence with flexibility to travel between job sitesWEM Team Benefits: Remuneration: Hourly rate - paid well above market and aligned with your experience + allowances + regular overtimeTools of the Trade: Fully maintained company vehicle + fuel cardWellbeing: Access to our Employee Assistance Program to support your mental health & wellbeingFinancial Incentives: Access to paid income protection insurance and earn up to $1,000 for every successful referral through our employee referral programUnlimited Paid Wet Weather Days: If weather conditions prevent work, you'll still receive your base wage for 8 hours – no limitCommunity Partnerships: Partnerships with community programs including Black Dog Institute and Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation to give back to our communityConnect & Celebrate: Frequent social and team events, site BBQs and reward and recognition programs that celebrate our peopleGrowth: Endless career opportunities, ongoing training, mentoring & developmentAdditional Information: Applicants should submit a current resumeApplicants are required to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including a drug and alcohol screening, as a prerequisite for this position to ensure they can safely perform the duties of the roleApplicants must be authorised to work in Australia, and reside in the geographic area relevant to the positionWEM Civil is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
