It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.This integration of emergency services communications within Triple Zero Victoria is unique in Australia and rare worldwide.
The team at Triple Zero Victoria is deeply committed to the community it serves and is among the most dedicated and highly skilled in its field.About the RoleThe System Engineer is a key and active participant of the Emergency Communication Information Services (ECIS) team.The role will help build, maintain, and troubleshoot our expanding infrastructure.
You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.Day to day responsibilities include:Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure whilst effectively maintaining a highly available environment and registering/remediating any security risks.Manage and deliver scheduled systems maintenance and updates.Develop and maintain automation scripts to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention.Maintenance of virtual and physical servers hosted in multiple data centres and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safely.Install, configure, and test operating system, application software and system management tools.Participate and drive in the delivery and maintenance of change into the ESTA IT infrastructure, network and systems environments, both on-premise and cloud.Create systems documentation to support change and knowledge transfer.Contribute to delivery of projects and initiatives including, but not limited to, security improvements, platform uplift, cloud adoption, and automation.About YouThe preferred candidate will have experience supporting 24/7 mission critical environments within a large organisation and will also possess the following attributes and skills:Experience in an ITIL environment & working knowledge of ITIL Incident management, Request Fulfilment, Change and Asset Management.Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery.Demonstrated ability and understanding in continuous improvement and delivery implementation.Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) (or equivalent experience).VMware Certification (VCP) (or equivalent experience).Experience with Azure well-architected best practices.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure operations automation.What We Can Offer YouYou will be supporting a critical service to the Victorian community and will be rewarded with a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements and employee benefits including:Employee assistance program for employees and eligible family members.Discounted health insurance, banking services and gym membership.'Memberlink' discount card, accepted by 1,000's of retailers and service providers.Free staff parking at all our sites.Salary packaging options after an initial service period.Triple Zero Victoria is committed to the principles of equal opportunity, and diversity and inclusion for all.
