This position offers the chance to work as a Medical Practitioner at the primary referral hospital for the region, providing exposure to high-acuity cases and a wide range of clinical experiences.

This role offers the chance to rotate through various sub-specialties, including:
General MedicineCardiologyStrokeOncologyRadiation OncologyNeurologyInfectious DiseasesEndocrinologyRespiratoryRehabilitationHaematologyRenalGastroenterologyPalliativeCommencement Dates: February 2025 or September 2025 (flexible start dates between)Contract Length: 12+ months, with the possibility of extensionSalary: Base salary of $131,000 - $183,500 (depending on level) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging (based on an 86-hour fortnight)Relocation Assistance: International Visa support with potential to consider Permanent residency visa in the futureRelocation funds for flights, accommodation, car hire, etc.Location: Situated in one of Australia's oldest cities in Tasmania, this hospital is just a short drive from the stunning coastline.
The city is home to remarkable natural landmarks, such as Cataract Gorge Reserve, as well as beautiful parks and gardens.
Iconic locations like Cradle Mountain, Bay of Fires, and Wineglass Bay are easily accessible.
With an airport on the outskirts of the city, you can conveniently travel to mainland capitals like Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne via a direct flight.
Facility: This 400-bed tertiary teaching facility is recognized for its acute care services, treating over 24,000 inpatients and 225,000 outpatients annually.
The Emergency Department, with 43 treatment beds, handles over 45,000 patients each year and maintains a 35% admission rate.
The hospital is accredited with the University of Tasmania for clinical training and offers a range of training opportunities.
