Elevate your career and join our talented Buying team in redefining the world of Curve. You will be at the forefront of driving the Curve category to brand new heights and will unleash your creativity and expertise as you develop commercially relevant ranges for Forever New's global markets.
Your comprehensive knowledge of local and overseas market trends will be instrumental in constructing a commercially balanced range that adheres to the critical path.

Construct a commercially balanced range which offers the right mix of print, plain, and colour and end use for the businessLiaising with the Managing Director and Buying leaders on long-term product planningEnsure a clear and sensible price architecture which ensures maximum sales and profitabilityWork with design to ensure range reflects the right level of newness/fashion/trend & that volume lines are maximised and moved on at the right timeCoordinate all areas of the buying process to ensure that stock is ordered and delivered on timeAnalyse & have a comprehensive understanding of category history applying this to the range buildEnsure range reflects climate needs of all regionsEnsure all department financial parameters and targets are achievedRespond to sales and market data to make commercial decisions to maximise sales opportunities and minimise potential future risksTrade the department, in collaboration with the Planner, by optimising profit, maximising department potential through repeats, and minimising slow performance through promotion or mark-downsComprehensive knowledge of local and overseas market trends through various mediums including magazines and online researchAnalyse relevance of trends for brand and plan reaction accordinglyDemonstrate comprehensive knowledge and awareness of competitors and external trends, identifying missed opportunities and trends to maximise revenueBrief Design to ensure fabrics, prints and style details are consistent with brand vision using relevant option plan provided by PlanningWork with Design & QA to ensure best fit, consistency of fit and best possible quality of fabric, trim, make and finishMake commercial decisions throughout the development process of a product with respect to delivering the most commercial style in the most profitable way, adhering to brand standardsBe aware of production progress against department critical path ensuring key dates are met by the team.THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU OFFER US Specific Curve category experience is requiredAt least 5 years' experience as a Buyer or 2+ years' experience as a Senior BuyerExceptional knowledge of all fabrications, raw materials, product categories and garment constructionExperience working across international marketsStrong commercial acumen and business judgementWell-developed internal and external stakeholder management skillsRelevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Design/Buying (or equivalent)Experience in team managementAt Forever New, our people and customers are the heart and soul of everything we do.
