We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marine Electrician with supervisory experience to support our dynamic Gladstone operations.Job DescriptionYou are a dedicated, technically skilled professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is capable of managing complex electrical systems.
Reporting to the General Manager in Gladstone, this full-time position is responsible for the running maintenance and repairs of the electrical, electronic, and control systems.
Working closely with the shore-based Maintenance team, Technical Superintendent, and crew to ensure the planned maintenance system is maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective way.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience as a marine electrician, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory roleAdvanced knowledge of marine electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systemsProven expertise in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of shipboard systemsStrong understanding of maritime regulations and safety standardsExcellent leadership and team management skillsOutstanding problem-solving abilities and attention to detailProficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and softwareStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple prioritiesAdditional InformationSmit Lamnalco Towage Australia is committed to Equal Employment Opportunities, Ethical Practices, and the principles of Cultural Diversity.
