Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Psychiatry Staff Specialist to join our Mental Health Service
We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Psychiatry
The primary purpose of the role of Staff Specialist in Psychiatry is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in psychiatry and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Mental Health Service and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist in Psychiatry (Mental Health Service) will provide direct care and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary mental health team.
This role is predominantly based in Community Mental Health, noting that there may also be additional clinical work across Adult Mental Health Services in SLHD.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
