About the role Applications are invited for a qualified candidate for a Plant Operator position.
We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaged team member to support operations working out of our Narellan Field Service Centre.
Working as part of the team, your responsibilities would include operating various plant & equipment including Non-Destructive Diggers, Earth Borers, Lifter Borers, EWP's, and various heavy vehicles to assist in the construction & maintenance of our electrical network.
Working normally in a team of 2 or assisting other larger workgroups to help deliver programmed works as required.
Job tasks are completed in various outdoor environments including roadsides both rural and urban areas.
The role of the plant operator can include but is not limited to loading and unloading at the depot, site set-up and risk assessment, set-up and operation of various plant & vehicles as well as site assistance including shovelling and use of pneumatic tamper.
On offer 36 Hour week, 8 day fortnight Be part of a culture that focuses on care and performance; care for one another and for the customer Access a variety of opportunities to step up and lead in a rapidly changing sector Feel recognised and rewarded for your contribution Take pride in working for an organisation that provides an essential service and is playing its part in enabling the energy transition Access to training, personal development and career progression About you To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to meet the following  requirements: Be physically fit and have experience in carrying out general labouring and workshop duties Proven ability to work effectively in a small team environment Proven ability to adapt knowledge and skills to new items of plant Be available to respond to emergencies and after hours work when required Proactive attitude toward improving skills and qualifications so as to provide enhanced value to the company Be open to operating or learning to operate various types of plant or vehicles and be willing to assist crews on the ground Desirable  requirements:  Hold a Workcover C2 crane ticket Be an experienced NDD operator Hold HC Drivers' Licence (or be willing to obtain licence) Have a good understanding of safe work practices associated with the installation and replacement of electrical assets  Be authorised and have experience operating Palfinger/Hiab truck mounted cranes Have experience in working on live networks Be authorised and have experience operating a lifter borer and other various items of plant Hold Traffic Control, Traffic Management certificates and Dogman/Crane Chaser ticket For further information, please contact ****** Applications close -  13 December 2024.
