Main duties of the job To provide a full range of GMS and additional enhanced services where appropriate.Seeing patients face-to-face, telephone consultations, and triaging.About us We are a semi-rural practice serving a patient population of over 18,700.
Our clinical team includes GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, FCP, Paramedic, and a strong Nursing Team.
We are open to new ideas and fresh approaches to clinical care.
We are fortunate to have an excellent clinical and administrative team.
We work closely with our community teams supporting care in the community and prevention of hospital admissions.
We operate from 2 sites (just 91 yards apart) and we use SystmOne.
Job responsibilities To undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence as the role dictates.Person Specification Qualifications GMC registered, MBBS or equivalent, MRCGP, inclusion on Performers List.Experience Worked in a GP practice, IT literate, familiar with clinical systems.Experience working in primary care in an area with significant health problems, EPS prescribing.Skills Good communication on all levels, good interpersonal skills, ability to work on own initiative, ability to work as part of a team, patient sensitive, full UK driving licence and use of a car.Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
