Are you someone who is passionate, committed and dedicated to your profession?Do you have what it takes to make a substantial contribution to our vision, purpose and values?About your opportunity: This position provides high level clinical governance and professional leadership to the oral health clinicians and support functions of Oral Health Services across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS).
The position will be responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining a clinical standard of excellence through research, teaching, supervision and service development, including some clinical duties.
You will be expected to contribute to patient outcomes that are aligned with the strategic direction of the Hospital and Health Service through your strategic planning skills and relationships with key stakeholders.
You will work closely in support of the Oral Health Manager to achieve strategic objectives with a sustainable, cost effective and patient focused service.
About the Unit: Oral Health is one of the primary health care services which sit under the Women's and Children's Service Group Corporate and Clinical Governance Structure.
The Townsville Oral Health Service is responsible for the provision of oral health services across the greater Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
Due to the distance from a private dental surgery, non-eligible patients are also able to access the visiting Oral Health service at Hughenden and Richmond on a fee for service basis.
The Oral Health Unit in Corporate Office advocates facilitates and supports the state-wide delivery of Oral Health services and the achievements of targets in Oral Health treatment and prevention.
What's on offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $219,671 p.a.
comprising:Salary range of $7077.00 to $7379.70 p.f.
(DO4.1 - DO4.2)Annual leave with 17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts.
Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme: Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).
Role Requirements: Possession of a tertiary qualification in dentistry from a recognised institution, and current registration with the Dental Board of Australia (no limitations).All applicants must be awarded Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) by the Townsville HHS Credentialing and SoCP committee.Travel is a requirement of this position.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
