Selection CriteriaExperience in the delivery of student wellbeing and support services in a school setting.Demonstrated experience in developing effective relationships with local and state departments and community agencies.Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.A demonstrated capacity to plan, implement and evaluate intervention programs to support student wellbeing.Demonstrated ability to promote the safety and wellbeing of all students in line with the Child Safe Standards.Role- Duties of the Role
Work collaboratively with the executive team on the provision of schoolwide student wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.Oversee the student wellbeing team.Oversee the Inclusion program.Support the College in managing personal and school-wide mandatory reporting responsibilities.Oversee the wellbeing and inclusion elements of the grade 6 to year 7 transition.Assist the college in meeting its partnering agreement obligations supporting students in out-of-home care.Provide consultation regarding students with chronic absenteeism and school refusal.Provide specialist advice for DIP.Oversee processes to reduce students engaging/reengaging in harmful behaviours.Oversee strengths-based and trauma-informed behaviour support plans.Support the implementation of behaviour support plans, student support plans, and safety plans.Oversee trauma-informed care working party.Manage the implementation of the four critical actions regarding child safe standards.Oversee incident logs.Develop staff capacity to recognize and respond to student safety and risk matters.Oversee the management and response to referrals, crisis management, and risk assessment for suicide/self-harm.Oversee creation and implementation of schoolwide documentation processes.Develop and manage the Postvention response.Contribute to respectful relationships initiative.Oversee the implementation of the mental health fund.Oversee implementation of student breakfast/lunch programs.Attend and contribute to SSGs, case management, and sub-school meetings.Liaise with Student Support Service Officers regarding assessments and support for students.Oversee and support compliance of Family Violence Reforms (MARAM) and Child Link.Ensure child safe compliance.Induction of new staff.ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will work as part of the College Executive Team with specific oversight in the areas of student wellbeing, mental health, and inclusion.
