RX is a branch of RELX, a worldwide supplier of information-based analytics for businesses.About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as an Event Coordinator / Event Production Executive at RX (Reed Exhibitions) within our passionate Event Production and Operations team, reporting into our Senior Event Producer.This is an 11-month contract role to be based from our head office in Chatswood, Sydney with a combination of working from home to suit your work-life balanceThis role encounters a high volume of customer care; it is fast-paced with many deadlines and multiple tasks happening at the same time.
Someone who thrives under pressure but also has the capability to work calmly and professionally would be successful in this role and in this industry.
We are also open to someone who does not have an events background but has strong customer service, administrative, and organizational skillsResponsibilitiesManaging event schedules, critical paths, and run sheetsCreating and managing overall exhibitor manualsProviding customer service and communication with exhibitors, visitors, speakers, and internal functional teamsOrganizing associated functions including feature areas, briefings, social events, seminars, and meetingsProviding onsite and pre-show support in various rolesRegularly updating and keeping the Master Spreadsheet up to dateAssisting in other administrative tasks as requiredEvent guide and other show collateral productionRequirementsPossess substantial administration and customer support expertise, along with a solid understanding of business principlesEvent background is nice to have.
Other related experiences / industries include Customer Service, administration / receptionist, and HospitalityHave a can-do attitude with a flexible and adaptive approach to any situationMaintain high attention to detail and work efficiently within tight deadlines while staying organizedPossess well-developed oral and written communication skillsCustomer Service experience is a must, with the ability to deal with challenging or demanding customersWork in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work / life balance across the organization.
