We are a respectful and caring family owned business; we take pride in our high standards and are committed to meeting our customer's needs by providing the highest standard of quality in all that we do.Our team of passionate and dedicated people are what set us apart and make Sunfresh a great place to workThe RoleWe are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our friendly Maintenance team for preventative maintenance duties, mechanical servicing and repairs of our industrial scale laundry machines throughout our two factories which are both located very close to each other in Darra. You will be working with both electrical and mechanical aspects of industrial machinery.The role will involve inspection, repairs and regular cleaning of large scale laundry machinery and equipment on a daily basis in a very busy environment. Working with electrical components, steam lines, water and air operated equipment is required as is a good working mechanical skill set.Skills and RequirementsYou will be capable and confident and have previous experience in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery.Mechanical qualifications and licenses would be ideal and very highly regarded.An Australian Restricted Electrical license would be advantageous.Experience in working with PLCs highly favourable.Any licenses such as forklift or elevated platform or additional trade qualifications would be advantageous, however ongoing equipment and site training will be provided for the right person/s.Our ideal applicants will demonstrate strong communication skills and be enthusiastic and willing to learn, physically fit and able to take direction and perform maintenance tasks efficiently and competently, while displaying a calm, approachable manner.Must have current driver's license and own reliable transport.Great communication skills, can-do attitude and team player mentality is a must for the role.We are a strict non-smoking/vaping site.We are a friendly, family owned business who reward our valued employees who go that extra mile and have pride in their work.In return for your dedication and hard work, we offer a supportive, encouraging team environment focused on our people.
