Senior DevOps Consultant (2IC to Director) Company Overview:
Our client, a leading global financial services organization, is at the forefront of innovation in technology and operations.
They are seeking a visionary Senior DevOps Consultant to act as the 2IC (second in charge) to the Director of DevOps, taking on a strategic leadership role to drive transformative initiatives.
This firm values cutting-edge solutions, and the ideal candidate will have the ability to reshape cloud infrastructure and lead DevOps strategy for the future.
Role Overview:
As the Senior DevOps Consultant, you will not only manage day-to-day DevOps operations but also lead the charge on innovation, working closely with senior stakeholders to shape the strategic direction of cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD processes.
Reporting to the Director of DevOps, this consulting role is central to the company's vision of building next-generation infrastructure and driving excellence across technology operations.
Key Responsibilities: Lead DevOps strategy by implementing advanced cloud architectures and spearheading innovative DevOps practices.
Shape the future of infrastructure by introducing new frameworks and tools that enhance scalability, security, and efficiency.
Optimize CI/CD pipelines , driving faster, more reliable releases and elevating overall system performance.
Collaborate with senior leadership to influence and drive the company's technology strategy.
Mentor and develop the DevOps team, fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and excellence.
Skills & Experience: 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud architecture, or IT operations, with a proven ability to lead large-scale projects and initiatives.
Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Proven track record of leading advanced CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure for efficiency and reliability.
Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) with an innovation-focused mindset.
Leadership experience in managing and mentoring technical teams, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Strategic thinking with the ability to drive and influence high-level technology decisions.
