Foot Locker has a great opportunity for a qualified Senior Manager, Construction for our Asia Pacific (APAC) region with strong retail project management experience from feasibility to completion. Using your sound financial acumen and retail industry experience, you will manage the effective construction of a portfolio of retail stores in conjunction with external construction and design consultants. As a strategic thinker, you will collaborate effectively, maintaining client focus, anticipating client needs with the ability to be both proactive and reactive as circumstances dictate throughout the lifecycle of projects. Working across functions, you will be an effective communicator and negotiator to successfully manage a variety of stakeholders ensuring projects are delivered on time, and within budget. Note: This role requires a willingness to travel.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Performance: Assist the Senior Director in achieving key operation and financial objectives for APAC.Business/Technical Functions: Negotiate scope of works and coordinate with operations to ensure all parties are updated, including working with other internal teams to ensure timely delivery of projects. Complete store defect inspections at handover and ensure payment of invoices within reasonable timeframes.Business Partnership & Advisory Services: Provide valuable operational advice both to internal and external customers, whilst also being a valuable team member.Legal Compliance: Monitor and adhere to relevant legislative compliance, licensing, insurance, ethical and corporate governance as well as industry standards for real estate and construction in APAC.Organisational Compliance: Maintain the organisation's core values – Integrity, Leadership, Excellence, Teamwork, Innovation and Community, inside and outside the organisation, as well as Foot Locker's policies and procedures to support audit compliance.Industry Monitoring/Continuous Improvement: Monitoring emerging issues and trends to recommend and improve controls, procedures and systems.QualificationsMinimum five (5) years' experience working as a Retail Project / Construction ManagerBachelor's Degree in a related discipline – Building, Property, Project ManagementMust have retail construction / project management backgroundExperience managing budgetsOther key skills:Ability to read architectural and engineering drawingsStrong analytical skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate at all levelsStrong computer skills – Intermediate MS Excel and ProjectHigh attention to detailAbility to manage competing priorities in a very fast-paced environmentExtensive knowledge of commercial and retail construction and property legislation /codes / standardsPersonal attributes:Determination, persistence, resilienceProactive and flexibleConfident and self-drivenBenefitsAnnual performance-based bonusA flexible hybrid working environmentExcellent staff discounts on Foot Locker products – Nike, Adidas, ASICS and many moreFree on-site parkingAccess for you and your immediate family to our Employee Assistance ProgramFree access to Wellhub (Gympass)An inclusive and supportive team cultureIf this opportunity is of interest to you, click the 'Apply' button below including a cover letter addressing the 'About you' requirements as well as an up-to-date resume.Please note this is a local position.
