We are currently seeking a motivated Maintenance Electrician who has gained experience in food, packaging or a related industry.
A solid knowledge of Electrical Maintenance, Continuous Improvement and the compliance requirements of working in an FMCG company are essential.
Reporting to the Team Leader and as part of a team of Fitters and Electricians you will be required to demonstrate flexibility, work unsupervised and autonomously.
The position is for day/afternoon rotating shift at our Rooty Hill facility with the ability to support the business with reasonable overtime.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.Proactively identify and implement improvements to plant and equipment safety systems.Enhance the reliability of electrical and automated systems including robotics and vision systems.Develop and implement safe working procedures (SOPs).Maintain manufacturing equipment and site infrastructure according to schedules.Collaborate on cross-functional projects, including new equipment design, manufacture, and installation.Actively participate in and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives.What you'll bring: A recognised Electrical Trade Certificate and relevant post trade courses.Proven experience as an industrial electrician in an FMCG or related industry (food manufacturing preferred).Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with experience in Siemens, Omron, and Allen Bradley PLCs.Experience with Servos, VSD's, robotics and HVAC systems.A strong commitment to Health and Safety.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in computer literacy and CMMS systems.Ability to work a day and afternoon rotating roster.What we offer: Competitive hourly rate + 15% afternoon loading + Double time O/T.Be part of a great workshop culture.Comprehensive training and development opportunities.Free on-site parking.Subsidised on-site canteen.Fully equipped gym and on-site masseuse.A supportive and inclusive work environment.Your application will include the following questions:
