The Project Engineer is responsible and accountable to plan, organise, and monitor the technical aspects of construction projects. The primary focus of the Project Engineer is to provide advice in the planning, coordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects. They are responsible for conducting quality assurance, project administration, financial reporting, ensuring health and safety and meeting project deadlines. This will be a permanent full-time position for a local Engineer.ResponsibilitiesResponsible and accountable for the effective programming and construction methodologies of all site works.Responsible for project compliance with all relevant legislation, specifications, regulations and standards.Responsible and accountable for the daily programming of site works and the coordination of employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment required for the projects.Provide advice, support and assistance to project staff and clients in relation to any technical and/or complex problems that may arise during project life.Responsible for the overall financial performance of the projects.Responsible and accountable to maintain the quality system, appropriate registers and ensure all relevant quality documentation is completed as required by the IMS and contractual obligations. Conduct the design and supervision of civil remedial works as demanded by a project and assist the project team in evaluating construction methods.Exercise financial control over operations expenditure of the project.Responsible for monthly assessments and forecasts of project's financial performance against DJC, financial and operational goals and responsible short and long-term financial and project reporting.Work closely with the project team on costing changes to the project scope and/or pricing of variations to ensure the project meets financial goals.Essential Skills and AttributesBachelor of Engineering (Civil) or background in engineering construction and deliveryProven management skills, practices and planning abilityDemonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on prioritiesHighly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts, specifications, Australian standardsEstablishing and maintaining effective working relationshipsComputer literacy, particularly experience working with MS Excel and MS Project applicationsHighly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence othersHigh attention to detailWhat's next?If you would like to join our team and hold full, unlimited working rights in Australia, we encourage you to submit your CV.As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Women and People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island heritage are strongly encouraged to apply.Interested to learn more about SEE Group?
