Heidelberg Materials Australia are seeking an HSEQ Advisor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will support Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) activities across multiple operations within the South/West NSW region.
This includes sites spanning Ulladulla, Canberra, East Guyong, and everywhere in between.
The ideal applicant would be based out of our Parramatta office.
However, we offer flexibility for the right candidate to work from our South/West NSW regional sites if preferred.
This hands-on role is ideal for a practical, self-motivated team player looking to advance their HSEQ career in the construction materials industry.
Flexibility for travelling across several sites and varied work hours is essential to meet operational needs.
In your new role you will:Provide advice and coaching to site/operational managers on risk management and HSEQ compliance.Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal systems and legal requirements.Conduct incident and near-miss investigations.Analyze data and report on risk and compliance areas, providing actionable recommendations.Participate in Safety Committees and HSEQ meetings.Assist with site HSEQ plans aligned with the regional HSEQ strategy.Support to maintain records for employee and contractor training, competencies, and qualifications.Support the induction process for new employees and contractors.Maintain site registers, HSEQ action plans, and contribute to continuous improvement.Identify, report, and support resolution of system non-conformances and improvement opportunities.To be successful in this role, you will be:5+ years' experience in WHS/Environment management or a high-risk industry (preferred but not essential).Tertiary qualifications in OHS, Engineering, or Science (preferred but not essential).Lead Auditor/Investigations qualifications or willingness to obtain.Strong ability to influence and implement change within a complex organisational structure.Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and other software systems (highly desirable).Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to team success.What We Offer:Competitive salary package, including a fully maintained company vehicle.Career development opportunities within a global organization.Be part of a diverse and inclusive workplace.Who are Heidelberg Materials?With more than 4,000 employees across 300 sites, we have an extensive production and logistics network across Australia.
