The Organisation
Established over 10 years ago, this Canberra based Chartered Accounting firm has experienced exceptionally strong growth in recent years through the delivery of extremely high-quality work to their established and growing client base, as well as their excellent culture developed since their inception.

Given their exceptional reputation, they are being tasked with more work and as such they are seeking a number of assurance practitioners (with skills in any of the internal audit, external audit or program assurance disciplines) to join their team in Canberra.
We are looking for suitable individuals across the Senior Consultant levels.
This will include the ability to review and assess information and reporting systems, internal controls and procedures and for the financial statement auditors, the ability to work with and understand financial reporting requirements.

The Roles
You will have the opportunity to work with some of Canberra's most experienced Audit Partners and Directors on a broad range of clients to improve their risk profile by strengthening their internal controls, governance, program management and risk management as well as on financial statement audits.

You will be given responsibility for the day-to-day conduct of audit & assurance related activities as well as having direct contact with clients and the opportunity to lead and manage junior staff.

As an Audit Senior Consultant, you will assist in the planning, execution, and reporting for a broad range of consulting/auditing engagements.
This role will include:
Establishing audit objectives, designing and implementing audit methodologies, processes, and audit report criteria.
Examining, verifying, evaluating and reporting on financial, operational and managerial systems, processes and outcomes to ensure financial and operational integrity and compliance.
Assisting in business process reviews, risk assessments, developing deliverables and reporting progress against outcomes.
Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.
Preparing financial statements for presentation to clients and management.
Preparing reports, conducting financial audits and familiarizing themselves with any changes to Australian Accounting Standards and Australian Auditing Standards.
Conducting research, collecting and analyzing data to identify deficiencies and provide conclusions and areas of improvement.
Developing and maintaining client relationships and fostering professionalism on all engagements.
Growing their professional network and taking initiatives to identify potential business opportunities with new and existing clients.
Participating in the onboarding of new staff as a buddy to enable new joiners to smoothly transition into the firm in their new roles.
Participating and leading social and cultural activities of the firm.
About You
To be successful in these roles you will have demonstrated experience of 2 – 4 years in Assurance Services client roles.
This will include the ability to prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for all types of entities.

You will be at least tertiary qualified and have completed or started a CA/CPA qualification.
You must have strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to form strong relationships internally and externally.

Holding AU Citizenship & Baseline Clearance will be an added advantage; however, applications meeting all other skills & qualifications may also apply.
