Goodline is currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Superintendents to join our team in our Port Hedland division.

About the role:
This role requires someone with diplomacy, tenacity and commitment.
The right candidate will be a key leader within their discipline leading supervision and direct workforce through multiple sites and activities including construction, maintenance, shutdown, minor projects and day-to-day local works in both the commercial and residential sectors.

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and providing leadership of the teams within Port Hedland.
The successful candidate will be an advocate for the business both within the organisation and externally.
This will require a strong commitment to meeting client expectations, as well as positive and productive relationship management skills and a continual improvement mindset.

Additionally, the position has oversight of quality assurance and compliance, ensuring systems of work and output comply with company standards, client policies and procedures and legislative requirements are met.

You will be supported by an experienced engineering and supervision team on a day-to-day basis.

You will have demonstrated front-line leadership with the capacity to inspire teams with an approach that engages your team.
You will have a strong understanding of HSE best practice and compliance with a high level of self-discipline, motivation, energy and initiative.
Key responsibilities:
Embed the safety culture across the department; Leading, directing and motivating a diverse team; Manage the team succession planning and developmental needs of the team; Maintain and build relationships with clients, offering services, quoting and tendering works, creating win-win relationships; High level planning and strategic thinking skills with the ability to set priorities and manage complex workflows across multiple work fronts; Manage and deliver expert advice and assistance to campaign industry best practice and to ensure the quality of work delivered to clients and external stakeholders is consistently of a high standard; Embed quality processes and practices within the team; Scoping, planning, scheduling: Ensuring identified upcoming work is uploaded into the long term schedule and crew planner is maintained to ensure sufficient resources for the awarded work, focusing on the 2 week – 3 month look ahead; Actively manage financial business processes for the department, inclusive of budgeting, cost forecasting, payment claims and invoicing cycles to produce reliable, timely commercial results; Work collaboratively with Engineering and Commercial teams to manage commercial matters proactively; Approve the timesheets, leave and training for the department.
