We are looking for a highly passionate and experienced basketball coach and leader to oversee our academy program and holiday camps and continue to push the company forward
Our academy program and holiday camps focus on individual skill development - we teach players everything that they don't get taught at their team training sessions.
Our methods focus on the details and specifics of individual skills and footwork, taking much of our methodology from the I'm Possible system.

What You'll Do: As the Academy Head Coach, you'll be responsible for leading our academy program and holiday camps, fostering both player and coach development.
Lead on-court coaching for 20-25 hours per week.Mentor and train academy coaches, providing workshops, 1-on-1 sessions, and team meetings.Develop weekly session plans and term/annual strategies for the academy.Manage player progression and academy scheduling, ensuring smooth operations.Monitor and engage with players (and their families) who may be struggling to ensure continued progress.Oversee payroll approvals of coaches.Recruitment, onboarding, and training of new coaches.Holiday Camp Responsibilities: Create and implement camp schedules, coaches rosters and training curriculums.Ensure camps are running efficiently and provide support to the coaching team.Who We're Looking For (Preferred Experience): Proven leadership experience in coaching, ideally as a Director of Coaching or a similar role.Experience coaching individual skills as well as team dynamics.High-level playing and/or coaching experience.Strong communication skills and an ability to inspire and develop others.Key Performance Metrics: Churn Rate: Retaining members and ensuring high program quality.Member Growth: Continuing to increase membership month over month.Coaches' Job Satisfaction: Fostering a positive and fulfilling work environment for your team.Salary / Hours / Location: Full-time position with a competitive salary of $90k-$115k + super, based on experience.
If successful, you would be working approximately 25 hours per week on site at our facilities in Box Hill South (or at other venues in the Eastern suburbs for school holiday camps).
These hours during school terms are roughly between 4pm-9pm weekdays and 8am-9pm on weekends; and during school holidays 8:30am-3:00pm.
The rest of the work can be carried out remotely, wherever it most suitable to you
