We employ more than 75 professional environmental staff based out of offices in Perth and Margaret River.

Each of our projects is run by a dedicated Project Coordinator – they take care of the logistics so you can focus on the scienceWe provide ongoing relevant in-house training both in the field and office, as well as a professional development fund.
We also have one of the largest private in-house herbariums in WA and a customized lab for flora specimen identifications (not to mention an in-house Senior Taxonomist).We've been doing this for a long time and have built a very strong reputation.
You'll be joining a highly regarded team with a huge amount of botany experience in WA.The life of an Astron Botanist is great – we do a lot of work with Traditional Owners on country, we have been involved in offshore/ island work for decades, and it's not uncommon to get to our survey areas by helicopter or boatYou'll benefit from our generous company time off policy but we'll also make sure your home/office balance is fair so that you can spend time at home doing as you wish, but also have the opportunity to gain necessary office skills.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Botanist to join our team.

In this full-time role, you will work as a lead on your projects, as well as help team-mates with other projects, spanning traditional baseline flora and vegetation surveys and monitoring scopes.
You can put your existing skills to use and grow in other areas as you work alongside our highly regarded and knowledgeable team.
This is a field-active role; however, we will work with you to ensure you have time to do all the office-related parts of your projects.
You will be expected to apply critical thinking to your projects, strive for the utmost quality, assist with specimen identifications and prepare thorough and robust technical reports.
