About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager with strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering to make their mark.
In this 12-month contract role, you'll collaborate with senior leadership to deliver strategic financial insights, manage resources effectively, and influence high-level decision-making.
As a trusted advisor, you'll lead budgeting and forecasting processes, deliver comprehensive financial analyses, and develop presentation packs enriched with data-driven commentaries that drive clarity and impact.
With a focus on governance, compliance, and process improvement, you'll help the organisation achieve its strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities • Strategic Business Partnering: Provide expert financial advice and insights to senior leaders, helping them make informed decisions aligned with organisational priorities.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead planning cycles, consolidating forecasts and ensuring financial objectives are met.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, conduct variance analysis, and deliver impactful presentation packs with actionable commentary.
• Governance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure compliance with financial regulations while championing process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Team Collaboration: Support and guide junior team members while fostering collaboration across the organisation.
What We're Looking For We're seeking a highly competent Finance Manager with strong communication and writing skills, ideally with 3–4 years of experience in a similar role.
Public sector experience is preferred but not essential.
Your Skillset: • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering with senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to develop detailed presentation packs with clear, data-driven commentaries.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerBI, PeopleSoft, and Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
• A strong understanding of financial compliance and governance frameworks.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to convey complex financial information with clarity.
