The Role This Senior Electronics Design Engineer will contribute to electronics designs that support the product development and product support goals of the company. The role requires electronic engineering technical knowledge plus an understanding of collaborative working with software design, mechanical design and systems engineering colleagues. This Senior Electronic Design Engineer will ensure that electronics designs are produced in accordance with the company design process and that they are developed to meet all stringent requirements.
Design electronics system hardware and embedded software, from concept, prototyping to final design for volume productionContribute to the development of innovative and exciting new productsDrive requirements generation, schematic and PCB design, prototype debugging characterisation, and verification of electrical designs to ensure products are of superior performance, quality and reliabilityMake small changes to test firmware and create and update scripts for automation and testingStay abreast of technology advancements in electronicsWork on leading-edge technologies to support the growth of the company as a global industry leader in research and innovationGenerate high quality design documentation for regulators and internal useSupport process improvements to help maintain effective and efficient research and development proceduresBuild automated testing equipment for PCB panels used in technology productionDesign and build prototypes, test jigs, fixtures or test systemsPerform design testing, verification, and validationDocumentation, including component specs, work instructions, user instructions, and other engineering documentationComply with all obligations under Work Health and Safety LegislationYour Skills and Experience You will have a degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent, plus
Minimum 5 years' experience as electronics design engineer in mixed signal circuit designMinimum 5 years' experience in hardware bring up and testIn depth understanding of the principles behind analogue electronics (Essential)Experience of design for audio or visual products highly advantageousGood understanding of design for certification/complianceExperience with pre-compliance testingExperience using Altium a plus but not essentialExperience in EMC testingExposure to micro soldering for circuit boardExperience in troubleshooting issues with rf and noiseBenefits You will work with the finest technologies in metal engineering and production in a cutting-edge facility where the team enjoy a culture of collaboration, best-practise and innovation.
