$82.00 – $88.59 per hour + Superannuation.
This position is casual with the possibility to convert to full time in 2025.
Located at our Epping campus, close to public transport, schools and Epping town centre.

About the Role: Melbourne Polytechnic's High Risk Work team provides training and assessment for our construction students in a range of competencies related to high-risk work, workplace safety, and First Aid.
There is currently an opportunity for the right person to further their career in the construction training and assessment space.
Commencing in a sessional teaching role in 2025, you will have the opportunity to progress to a full-time teaching role as the program allows.

To benefit from this opportunity, you will have:
High Risk Work competencies includingScaffolding, Elevated Work Platforms (EWP), Working at Heights, Work safely on Roof Construction Induction Card CIC (White Card) First Aid Other Construction Industry trade qualification Current industry experience relevant to the training.
Hold either Cert IV TAE 40122 or TAE 40116.
Hold a current, or ability to obtain, a satisfactory Working with Children Check and Police Check.
Experience training and assessing in an RTO environment is highly desirable.
Industry currency relevant to the Construction industry.
Appropriate competencies, licences, registrations, and qualifications together with extensive relevant and recent industry experience.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or (TAE40110) including Design & Develop Assessment tools (TAEASS502) and address Adult language literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLN411) (TAELLN401A).
Highly developed teaching skills including the ability to select and use a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies appropriate to diverse needs of the student group together with demonstrated effective student management skills.
Sound knowledge of curriculum specific to High Risk Competencies; assessment and reporting strategies together with sound knowledge of the Australian VET system.
Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills and an exemplary professional approach when interacting with students, colleagues, and support agencies together with excellent written and oral communication skills.
