Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery are looking for several permanent and temporary Staff Specialists (up to 12 months) with negotiable hours to join their team.
The role involves the provision of operative and outpatient services to patients requiring Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as day-to-day clinical care and management of the multidisciplinary patient care team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Additionally, the role includes providing leadership, training, education, and supervision to junior medical staff and other health care members.

About the Role This role provides specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery clinical care to patients and assumes overall responsibility for patient care.
Services provided include:
Providing specialist services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service,Providing inpatient care, including participating in the on-call roster,Undertaking elective and/or emergency surgery/procedures,Providing inpatient consultations as requested,Providing outpatient consultations,Participating in multidisciplinary clinics and meetings,Supervising and teaching registrars, junior doctors, and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team,Participating in or leading research and quality improvement activities.Our values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement, and Excellence shape our culture within Metro South Health and guide our day-to-day decision-making.
