Victoria Park State School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Principal - Teaching and Learning to join our Leadership Team in a temporary, part-time position for the duration of the 2025 school year unless otherwise determined.
Whilst this role is primarily strategic, the successful applicant will need to engage in operational tasks in order to maintain the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
This position is being offered on a temporary part-time capacity at 0.50 FTE, from 23 January 2025 until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.
Successful applicants may negotiate additional roles within the school in order to attain full-time employment within Victoria Park State School.

About the Role The Deputy Principal will lead the implementation of a quality-assured curriculum as a whole school approach through embedding systematic processes to support staff capability and understanding of The Australian Curriculum.
The successful applicant will have excellent skills as an instructional leader and capacity to work with a large group of staff to drive outcomes-driven improvement whilst maintaining a supportive and positive work culture.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks: Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.Deputise for the Principal when required.Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
