The Firm & The Role
Our client is a commercial law firm and due to a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic litigation lawyer with at least 2 years PAE up to 5 years PAE.
The firm works with clients in the property, construction, insurance industries as well as SMEs, high net worth individuals and major corporations.
The role will see you working on mainly litigation matters as well as front-end matters e.g.
advice work, documents.
A snapshot of the work will include:
Providing advice on payments, variations, defects, delays, termination rights, insolvency insurance claims and security payment claimsLegislative and regulatory requirementsDomestic Building Act disputesDefective building work claimsConstruction law advice and dispute resolution in delay and liquidated damages claimsAdvice and dispute resolution in construction variation claimsBuilding practitioner professional liability claimsYou will be attending court and tribunals, interviewing witnesses, assisting with the drafting of court documents and submissions, assisting with drafting advices to clients, drafting letters of advice, assisting with client seminars, client workshops, writing articles for clients.
About You The ideal candidate will have a background in litigation, property law or building & construction law.
You will also have the following:
