The Opportunity: Location: Canberra The Software Tester will provide testing support to a Defence project delivering the Mission Planning System (MPS) capability to the Australian Defence Force.
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
Develop, maintain, and implement the Test and QA Process in the MPS SDLC.
Measured through the provision of artefacts (MPS Test Strategy, Version specific test plans, Test Procedures and Test Reports) created as part of the test process.
This includes:Devising the appropriate method of testing a system componentDevelopment of acceptance criteriaDocumenting all stages of the test process where appropriate: test plans, test cases, test summary report, incident reports & any other appropriate test documentationEnsure 100% compliance with the software development quality process, as evidenced through the artefacts created and completion of SOP checklistsPrepare a regression test suite for MPS based on the existing high-level regression tests, to be completed by end of Q1, as evidenced by the availability of a comprehensive test suite for the main JMPS modules, including:Flight Performance ModelsVehicle Installer PackagesUnique Planning ComponentsCommon ComponentsFederated ApplicationsMission Planning EnvironmentsMission Planning Application PackagesPrepare a strategy for test automation of the high-level user processes.
